TARC IS NOT THE MURDERER! At this Year’s Second Annual BOMA Murder Mystery Dinner – TARC took part in all the fun; this year we were part of the action! Our Fresno Estimator, Dan, took on the character of “Nick Twotimes” the Doorman. All night, Nick (Dan), had to defend himself and explain why he was NOT the murderer! Not only is this a FUN and unique event, but it is a great way to get creative and mingle with potential clients. TARC always enjoys going to BOMA events, and this Spring Mixer is no exception! If you don’t have this event on your calendar, we would highly recommend coming next year! Who knows – maybe you will figure out next year’s crime!
While attending this year’s CAI Ladies Tea, TARC stepped right into the “Fifties” (Fif-teas) for an experience full of fun & networking. Every Year CAI manages to host a great event; each year they chose a fabulous theme and TARC loves to go all out! This year’s theme was the “Fifties;” so our marketing team, and clients that joined, dressed in fifties fashion, from head to toe! Last year’s theme (Steampunk) was just as fun, and our marketing team member, Chelsea, won the competition for best costume… so there was a lot of pressure to win again this year. This year Chelsea decided to do something unique, and instead of the classic Fifties skirt and bows… she dressed as SANDY from GREASE!!! And… ***DRUM ROLL***… she won best costume AGAIN! Along with competition, a wonderful speaker, and yummy food; TARC was able to network and make some great connections. The CAI Tea was fabulous once again! If you attend next year, make sure to stop by the TARC table!
In 2018 TARC introduced a Wellness Program into their company; to support the health and overall happiness of their employees. It started with healthy snacks in the office, then grew into FitBits being given to all office employees and points earned for exercise, steps, and mental health they achieve in their life. In 2019 TARC decided to take it a step further and sponsor 10 of their employees in an annual 5K run/walk for women, in Santa Cruz, CA. They all met up together at the start line and supported each other along the way. It was a wonderful experience for the employees to get active and come together to support a great cause. The “TARC TrailBlazers” are already excited for the next run we take part in and are planning to make this a more common type of event for the employees… and hopefully the team size will grow too!
TARC never misses the CAA Bowling Tournament; it was the 3rd year of this event taking place, and we had a great time once again. This event is a great chance for all of our estimators to come together to have fun, compete, and mingle with potential clients. TARC makes sure to wear their TARC Bowling shirts, bring their skills, and try their best. Being the TWO YEAR running champion of this event, TARC had a lot of pressure on their shoulders this year and sadly, did not win… but don’t you worry… next year we are getting our winning title BACK! This event is one of our favorites; we can have fun, meet managers, and have some inner company bonding. Thank you to CAA for hosting a fun and exciting event.
TARC had a wonderful time at this year’s CACM Expo! This Expo never disappoints and this year was not an exception. The theme this year was “Land of Discovery” and what better discovery was there than…. DINOSAURS!? So, for the two days at the Expo, TARC was no longer just TARC… we were JURASSIC TARC!! Our booth turned into a dinosaur jungle, with our very own T-REX, Grinder – pun intended, ridden by the ever so brave Selina (TARC’s Marketing Queen). We not only had a great time, but we made memorable and valuable connections with potential clients. This Expo is such a unique and fun way to interact with clients and make great professional connections. One of the Managers attending the Expo won our YETI “Basket” full of TARC goodies, YETI merch, and MORE! After the Expo was complete on the first day, TARC was the DRINK SPONSOR at the Expo “after-party;” where we had three of our estimators (Dan, Carlos, & Mike) join our team to make even more connections! TARC was not only impressed with the event, but we also had a great time. We are already looking forward to next year and can’t want to take part in another fun theme!
This past week TARC was invited to take part in a wonderful way to give back this holiday season. One of TARC’s VIP customers gives back to the community by donating bikes to children in the foster care system. When TARC learned about this, we wanted to find a way to be involved. TARC was able to match every bike donation with a custom TARC helmet. Not only were we able to donate the helmets, but the owners of TARC wanted to get hands-on with the project and went to help build the bikes themselves and were able to see the bikes and helmets being given out to the children in need. Not only was this a wonderful experience for everyone involved here at TARC, but it showed the owners how wonderful it is to give back in new ways. They are anxious to do even more projects like this in the coming year.
TARC joined CAI at this years’ Annual Awards Gala & Holiday Party. The theme of the evening being “The Sky is Limit,” made for a magic night with picturesque outfits, striking decorations, and delectable food. We were joined by the Community Associations Institute – Bay Area and Central California Chapter’s Board of Directors and Holiday Committee. Not only was this a great night for new professional connections, but it was a great place for bonding with fellow vendors in a fun and delightful atmosphere. TARC loves being a part of the CAI “family” and this event is always one that we look forward to… we already can’t wait for next year.
On April 19th, 2018 TARC was excited to attend the 45th Annual CAA Expo. TARC employees had a wonderful time connecting with potential clients and others in the industry; attendees ranged from corporate executives, managers, owners, and professionals. By taking part in this EXPO TARC was able to be there to connect with Industry Professionals; the conversations had will turn into future connections and opportunities to help each other on future projects. TARC and other attendees were very satisfied with this EXPO and we are ready for next year’s event!
On May 11, 2018, TARC Construction, Inc. joined fifteen sponsored-teams to battle it out at Twin Creeks Sports Complex in Sunnyvale helping individuals and families remain in or return to stable housing in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties. Although TARC didn’t win, we came close and had a great time trying! The event left many memories, sore muscles, and hilarious stories for our employees for days to come. Events like this are so important to TARC and we look forward to next year – for more “kicking out homelessness” fun!
Earth Day on April 22nd, 2018 was celebrated by TARC in a fun way this year. Earth Day is a wonderful reminder to celebrate and cherish our planet! At TARC we believe that the preservation of the environment is one of our most important responsibilities. Today’s large amount of Greenhouse Gas Emissions that continue to occur daily, is an undeniable problem and we find it important to work towards the reversal of the damage caused. In order to do our part on this year’s Earth Day, we partnered with the National Forest Foundation (NFF), and TARC has promised to plant 1,000 trees with the NFF in 2018. We look forward to the growth of the partnership and planting more trees in upcoming years. Together with our customers and partners, we can leave the planet in a better state than we found it. To launch our partnership with NFF, TARC hand delivered baby pine trees to our VIP clients and were able to thank them in person for being a part of our efforts.
